Lovely place and views. Grab a coffee and feed the ducks. What more could you want. But they could work on making toilets available as they are always shut.

Lovely park, great place to relax, suits everybody. Dog- friendly. Love the location, easy to get to interested places nearby.

Love this park , starting my way always in Admiral park and walk through to town center , my 3 years old enjoying play grounds and safe environment :)

I was in Chelmsford for a few days in September to drop my daughter at Writtle University. I'd not stepped foot in Chelmsford before, but nice place. Central Park runs right through the town, and along the river. Its got some nicely landscaped areas in the center and some great walks, we went as far as Writtle. The whole park is well kept, nicely landscaped, attractive, and feels safe. There's a well marked and segregated pedestrian and bicycle lane that runs along the river. The park was well used, but is so big it didn't feel busy. There's a few coffee shops and play areas, and on the day we were there, there was a fun run in the morning, and a 'Beats and Eats' festival in the afternoon. Festival was great! Not sure how often they run events at the park, but this was a good afternoon out. Hit the thumbs up if this was helpful 👍
