Went to Simply Red tribute act by candlelight. The band was fab. Sang all the famous songs. Decent prices at the bar- canned drinks but it works. Price for the ticket was great value. An entertaining evening and eyes looking at forthcoming events.

Really great venue. Reasonably priced drinks. Even the bouncers were friendly. We went to an 80s night and would visit again.

Really enjoyed the band. The only downside was no lift. No access for disabled. Sitting could be better. Benches to sit on. Can be uncomfortable for sitting on for long periods. Good points, brilliant night with Mum. Staff were lovely and friendly.

Great little place, make sure you book a table. The food was exceptional and well presented. Had the soup of the day, a creamy tomato soup and my partner had the best spicy wings (well recommended) for the starters and a for mains had the Loft burger and the Sunday chicken roast. There was even room for dessert, marmalade bread and butter pudding and chocolate brownie with some amazing honeycomb ice cream. Everything made on site by their wonderful chefs. If you end up earlier in the day, they serve breakfast and have a evening menu.

We attended the Queen By Candlelight show in February and were disappointed. I emailed the Rialto directly before posting my review and a month later, I am still waiting for a reply. First of all, the event was advertised as 7pm to 10pm. When we arrived at 6:15pm, the bouncer said the doors open at 7pm and the show starts at 8pm. It did not say this at the time of booking or on the website. There were a lot of frustrated people outside (not just us) not knowing what to do for an hour! When we were finally allowed in, our tickets were scanned and we entered The Hall. There were no drinks on draught, just cans and bottles. Nobody was showing people to their seats or anything and there was quite a few people struggling to find their seats. I think some of this confusion was due to the change of seating. Upon purchasing, you could choose blocks A B or C and on arrival, there was only one block B in the middle. I assume not enough tickets were sold and it was all put together for this reason. The show itself was falsely advertised. The "candlelight show" was some tacky LED candles along the front of the stage and the "iconic Queen visuals" was a badly edited video on the side screens that didn't even run alongside what was happening on stage - it was completely different songs to what was happening on stage and totally pointless. The band were absolutely fantastic and the singer was incredibly talented which was the only good thing about the evening! However, on the website it mentions some of the hits that would be played and they didn't even do two of them. (Who Wants to Live Forever and The Show Must Go On) The toilets were filthy. Not just toilet paper on the floor but a lot of dust and dirt. Another thing I would like to mention is that having no disabled access or facilities in this day and age seems very discriminatory. This was my first visit to the Rialto Plaza and I certainly will not be rushing back after this experience.
