Warwick Arts Centre Reviews

Well organised, sparking clean welcoming venue. A perfect size, not too big. Seemed to be well set up for visitors attending in wheelchairs. Wish it was a local venue for us.

Great venue on the University campus. Plenty of parking that was quite cheap (ANPR - pay machines in the foyer). No bad seats. The cafe service however was absolute chaos with no queue management at all, and it took 45 mins to get out of the car park after the performance.

There's a lot going on at the Art Centre at any one time it would seem. Our visit was for John Lydon's one man talkshow which was being staged in the Theatre. And a great little theatre it is. Nice and steeply banked and a great view from any seat, therefore. Good sound, tested to considerable effect by the volume of Mr Rotten's playlist. Why only four stars? Can't do decimal places and it wasn't quite perfect. The nearest bar was very poorly stocked and charged me £3.50 for a luke warm can of diet coke. Also charged for parking, despite it being on an out of town campus.

Booked accessible seating way in advance, but none of the staff could seem to find our seats hence we were moved from pillar to post, and at one point it was looking like the seats we had booked didnt even exist - so it was a bit of an ordeal to say the least and not a nice way to start our evening at all. I have given 2 stars because one member of staff (a volunteer) called Anne did do all that she could to help in the aftermath, which was very much appreciated, so those stars are for her.

A great place to watch live jazz music. The studio gets you so close to the artist, it feels like you're on the stage. The pre gig beer is good, served in plastic though.
