A truly amazing experience visiting Lulworth castle and grounds. So much to see here from the castle itself to the church and chapel also. Along with some amazing and beautiful grounds to walk around. A decent price for the experience you get compared to some historical landmarks and experiences. A shame the castle suffered a fire and damage so many years ago as I can imagine it would be even more stunning otherwise, but still brilliant and great been able to go up to the roof and get an amazing view all around.

We got married at Lulworth Castle in April this year and couldn't recommend it enough as a wedding venue. The castle has a whole host of recommended suppliers who are responsive, professional and know the venue inside out. We could not fault any of them. The events team at the castle were absolutely fantastic from start to finish and were always on hand to help with any questions. A particular shout out to Sarah Doyle and Mary-Beth who were absolutely fantastic and made the whole experience an unforgettable one. A huge, huge thank you again for your patience, organisation and calmness on the day (even down to the timing of the entrance song - thanks Mary-Beth!) Even though the castle has held many weddings, you still made us feel like ours was truely special and you made sure the whole day ran like absolute clock-work. We wish we could do it all again!

Really enjoyed our visit today. Very friendly but not overbearing staff and so we felt very welcome. Inside the castle, there is something new to see around every corner and a real sense of history. The fact that it is a ruin inside, although restored to some extent, makes it even more dramatic. Undoubtedly the highlight is the long stairway up one of the towers which enables you to go out on the roof and view the surroundings. You can also catch a glimpse of what appear to be future mazes. Then after touring the castle, there are two very different chapel/churches to visit with the Catholic one being particularly impressive. This is not a five star review though because we are concerned about the conditions that the peacocks were being kept in - concrete floor without any bedding to be seen and, apparently, nothing to eat and drink. If the property owners read this review, I would appreciate having my mind put at rest over this concern.

We were disappointed that this Castle is closed in winter. Fortunately the grounds can be visited and afford a good view of the castle. Toilets also remain open when the castle is closed.

Such a beautiful spot. So glad they have saved this castle. Lovely grounds, and very helpful staff. They do rent it for parties and weddings. Wish we lived closer! The tea room and shop are modest but filled with goodies. We bought our souvenirs here. Just wish the peacocks were about but apparently they had been too naughty. Definitely worth a stop.
