Himley Hall Concerts 2024

My favourite place to go locally. So beautiful in all seasons for the sunsets and open space and scenery. Makes a beautiful walk to Baggeridge too and the Bluebells in spring are absolutely incredible. I love going here for pet photoshoots because it's just absolutely beautiful. So much flora and fauna to enjoy.

Beautiful setting come winter or summer. Could benefit from a defined walking path around the lake as during the winter months it does become very muddy. The house would be fantastic if it was open to the public & not just for private functions. The onsite café could do with more staff & a boot cleaner so the mud doesn’t get traipsed through.

My husband booked afternoon tea for a birthday treat. The car park is free if you have booked afternoon tea. We were shown to our table in what looked like a conference room, with flocked decor wallpaper either end and a plain painted wall. We had tea and coffee. With mini chicken pies I think. The staff were pleasant and friendly. We were brought sandwiches on a plate. We weren't asked if we had any allergies or if we didn't eat anything in particular. Some of the bread on the sandwiches were hard or starting to go hard. Scones arrived with jam and clotted cream with 2 red velvet cakes and mini mince pies with a mini coffee eclair, a raspberry mini square cake and the other cake might have been orange, not 100% sure. They arrived on what I would call a mini book shelf. I asked the assistant what it was she didn't know! I would expect the staff to know what they are serving and she didn't say she would find out either. It was guess work with the cakes, just as well we didn't have any allergies. We were offered a glass of prosecco, I don't like it, I was offered a mini bottle of zinfandel rose. I was happy with that. The presentation wasn't spectacular and the room wasn't cosy. Himley Hall is a nice site, but the sparse Christmas decor doesn't do the space justice.

I went to the classic motors how here. The gardens are amazing and the lake/pond is nice as well. On the day I went, the sun was blazing, which, is always nice. But there wasn't really any shade from the sun. You can see all kinds of vehicles here for £7.50 including parking. Its a bargain, I try and go every year.

Visited today and had a lovely walk around the park - such a nice park to visit. Fed the geese and ducks some healthy rocket! Used the cafe - the flapjacks were a bit pricey for the size! But were delicious. Toilets were very clean.
