Chequer Mead Theatre Concerts 2024

This venue is a great place to see shows. If you like an act, you won't be disappointed seeing them here. It's well run and has that air of intimacy that makes venues great. A great tip if you want to make an evening of it is to park at 6 pm in the large, free, and convenient car park across the road, and then walk down and through the churchyard to the Dorset Arms for dinner. It's less than a 5 minute jaunt. All makes for a great evening.

Visited here on a Sunday so the parking in the public car park opposite was free. Intimate auditorium once you go through with pretty much everywhere a reasonable seat/view. It's worthwhile reserving your interval refreshments beforehand as this definitely saves time and puts you ahead of the pack. Only negative for me was the rather lack of food choice/menu. Good luck if you can't eat crisps or nuts...

Went to see a screening of Sister Act with an afternoon tea to follow. Great film. The afternoon tea was fantastic. Even better than some hotel teas that I've had. Lovely selection of sandwiches and cakes, plus great service. Would definitely recommend.

I have given it 5 stars, based on the outside of the building. Nice, stone built rustic looking. I have never been inside, so I don't know. I was in the public car park opposite. Lots of parking outside nice lawn. Carpark could do with a clean-up, though.

Brilliant night watching Legends of Motown..with my friend for a birthday treat!..lovely theatre but was very hot in there ..not sure if any air conditioning
