St Giles Cathedral Reviews

This is a great working church. As a Presbyterian seminarian, I was excited to see this church. We went for one of the free concerts and it was a beautiful experience. The acoustics were nice and program excellent. It was a great way to see the church in action rather than passively sitting during a tour. Smaller (but by no means small) and less ornate than many English cathedrals, but that is in line with its history and theology. It is a historic site in the story of the Reformed tradition and the architecture outside is beautiful. The spire is unique and lovely.

Really cool and historical church on the royal mile. Access was free but donations requested. Some incredible works of art and sculptures and a really well taken care of facility dating back some 900 years
