The Stand Comedy Club Concerts 2025

Had a lovely night at the stand. Comedians are a hit or a miss but either way still worth going. Nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. Overall a good experience.

Got there super early to get a table, but despite there being lots of free tables further back, we were told we had to sit in the front row. Apparently the back tables were only for any groups of four who might arrive later. The first rule of a good night at a comedy club is that the people in the front row should actually want to be at the front! From other reviews it looks like we were lucky to get a seat at all. The Stand is an Edinburgh Institution and we went throughout the 90s and 2000s when most people were able to sit down and no-one got forced to sit at the front. It's a shame that they now seem to be getting this wrong. The comedians were great though.

Always the best for Edinburgh comedy. The venue is (as always) cosy, but it makes the atmosphere tick. Only place the queue for the gents is always longer than the ladies! Note: Old Edinburgh venue. Disabled access is very limited. However, if you ask nicely, there is a performer toilet on the same level as the main floor, they can accommodate. Card only, no cash. Top tip: You can book seats ahead. It's worth it if you don't want to stand or perch on a stool. Up front at your own risk!

Absolutely fantastic venue!!! 1000% recommend, the acts were hilarious 🙌 the food 😍 and the drinks were reasonably priced. The venue is down some stairs, limited tables . They recommend coming as soon as the doors open to get a table. We arrived at 7pm. Toilets are downstairs.
