The Maltings Concerts 2025

Attended the Beer festival here. Location is perfect, walkable from the train station, and is easily accessible to the rest of Ely if you choose to explore after an event. The event seems well organized, and the facilities were clean. The only issue with the festival is that so much ran out early, and not everyone attends more than one day when they restock certain things.

Went recently to see Very Santana at The Maltings. The venue was great - not huge so good view of the stage. The seats are quite small and narrow so I was glad to have an empty seat next to me so I could put my beer out of harm's way. My biggest grievance was the daft booking-in system. It wasn't computerised, so everyone was checked in by the young lady looking through reams of paper to find our names. It meant that we'd had to queue outside for about twenty minutes in the freezing cold. And we are in our seventies (and amongst the youngest people there!) so I'm surprised there weren't more fatalities.

Popped here for the annual Elysian beer festival which as usual was very well organised. The Maltings is also a theatre and regularly holds events during the year.
