BAaD Concerts

Sadly, I wasn’t too impressed with food here. Ordered the special - haddock and salmon chowder. The dish itself was ok, but it didn’t have any salmon and only one chunk of haddock. The rest was made up of potato, squid, and more alarmingly, lots and lots of fatty streaky bacon. This wasn’t labelled as containing meat on menu , and the servers didn’t ask about any dietary requirements. Not too bad for me as I don’t have any and eat anything. But for lots of people I’m sure this could cause problems. Price point was quite high I felt. Moderate sized dish sans much fish was £14. In addition, had to ask twice for spoon before I just went and got one for myself. That’s pretty basic, if you offer table service, just make sure it’s carried out with a bit of care. A shame, as the space is really bright and airy. Would only go back for drinks really. Pity as when this was location was A’Challtainn it was brilliant.

Great day watching the football in the beautiful main hall at BAaD, over 200 fans, drinks were flowing, fast service and a fab atmosphere. New food offering was delicious, mixed shawarma was very good! Looking forward to returning to the outdoor beer garden in the summer months.

Was "dragged" along to a Soul on Sunday event which turned out to be an excellent time. So many people commented "you couldn't leave without a smile on your face". Whether you want to dance or whether you just want to listen to music from 70s, 80s, 90s, etc., I honestly couldn't recommend it enough. Food is good. Beer prices not unreasonable. Definitely worth a visit.

Great entertainment on a Saturday at 4. Terrible service. Disorganised chaos and a thoroughly unpleasant security person who really doesn't look like she enjoys her job. Load's , including me, were told they were full and if you hadn't booked, you couldn't come in. I counted enough space for 32 bums on seats and they stayed that way, so appalling stewarding is costing them money. Waiting staff walked around lacking leadership and direction. Waited 20 minutes to attract attention for drink service. I know the venue is under new stewardship, and has big plans. I'd suggest start with the basics and get the staff trained, and the staff at the entrance a tad more welcoming. Was planning coming to the proposed fan zone in June...no chance now. That said, the singer on Saturday afternoon is outstanding, so go along and support good musician's, and hope those in charge read reviews and the organisation improves.

Place was mobbed with Hong Kong market! Place was buzzing with an incredible atmosphere only matched by the staff working their socks off and delivering some incredible service despite being so busy. Food was top notch with the new Shawarma Boy concept being a complete winner! New guys have taken this place on and you can already see a huge difference from previous visits! Keep up the good work team BAaD!
