City Varieties Music Hall Concerts 2025

My partner and I recently went here to see a show called "Robin Hood: The Rock 'n' Roll Panto" which one of our personal friends was starring in. The venue itself had quite a classic feel, a given since it is the Guinness World Record holder of the UK's longest running music hall. With that, it felt clean and the facilities were nice. There's a lovely bar at the top for you to get drinks before, during intermission, and after the show. There's also concessions for when you have the munchies or for treats for the little ones. The staff there were also quite friendly and helpfully gave us directions to our seats as it was our first time there. My partner and I had the box seats, facing stage right which were great. I'd wholely recommend this place as a great venue!

A fascinating trip back in time to theatre land. The place was just a little difficult to find as it’s tucked away up a back alley parallel to the Main Street that maps show it on. The entrance was a little ramshackle but there was a warm welcome from the staff. Once inside the atmosphere is wonderful harking back to a more genteel era. The seats are a little upright and old fashioned but that’s part of the allure. The decor is warm, theatrical refs and golds. Access for people with disabilities would be a little restrictive in the area we were on due to the age of the building.

Easy to book. Relaxing venue great for access had disabled toilets just outside the door and lifts. Lovely staff member i spoke to. The only negative it got very hot, but I was sat very closely to the front in amazing.. very lucky..seats. thank you city varieties

It was a great show at the City Varieties in Leeds. The theatre is lovely and full of history, its small bit it's good to feel so close to the act. Leg room is good. There's quite a few steps but there's also a lift (good if your seat is on the balcony as the steps are very steep). The bar prices are reasonable for a theatre.

Stunning venue. Great views and sound, even from the upper circle. I’m docking a star for the loud hum of the air con units which were easily audible over the music in quieter parts of songs and the fact that the bar ran completely out of beer less than halfway through the interval, not just the beer I like, all beer! In 40 years of concert going I’ve never known that!
