O2 Academy Leeds Concerts 2024-2025

It's a brilliant venue for a concert. I've seen a couple of great bands here. The floor slopes down, so the best views are at the back near the merchant stand. *Loads of toilets, clean and well stocked too - no queues. *Lots of bar areas for drinks at reasonable prices, concert venue prices obviously, but not silly. There are 3 or 4 bar areas inside, so there are no massive queues and quick service. The venue also offers 3x different 0% alcohol beers as well as soft drinks if you're a non-drinker. They have 2 pint (plastic) cups, too. *Bag searches and body scan for security. *Be aware of the very strict entry criteria; NO CHEWING GUM. NO MINI PERFUME BOTTLES. NO RUCKSACKS OR BAGS BIGGER THAN A4 SIZE. *Vaping is not allowed indoors, but there are smoking areas through doors during concerts. *Sound is brilliant and clear. Well lit shows. Great venue, great central location, you feel safe in there, well staffed and patrolled, staff are helpful 👍 but not all are friendly 😉 with it.

The obvious stuff first - price of drinks is something close to daylight robbery, even for "discount" 2 pint upgrades. £8 per pint... go figure. Sound quality is ... mixed. It varied a lot between sets, sort of 2 ⭐ Vs 4 ⭐ sound. As a venue it's actually pretty good with an intimate feel. You're always close up to the stage and sound mix notwithstanding it has a very visceral effect.

The staff were AMAZING!! I had the best time and felt so safe and comfortable during my time in the early access seats on the balcony. Thank you so much for the best time. I even got a setlist from one of the LOVELY staff members. i appreciate it so much 🎀🥹🐰

A great venue for live music. Very easy to get to in Leeds. The sound is excellent and it is great for more intimate shows.
