O2 Academy Leicester Concerts 2024-2025

As a budding musician, and a listener of music, I see a lot of venues. But I’ve never seen anything at this venue as they rarely open up. I can see why this is the case… As goes your O2 Academy’s, I thought it was quite good. Great sound, good bar, friendly staff and security. But the venue is not fit for purpose. If a show is sold out (like this show) it’s impossible to be comfortable standing anywhere as there is one entrance/exit, and only one way round the venue, creating a train like ring constantly moving around the edges. Some people even standing in stairwells to stand back. I would like to see more shows put on here, but to also bring down the capacity in case of any emergencies.

Great venue. Intimate with great sound. We saw Tom Meighen, the mercians,Andrew Cushin and Queen tribute. Highly recommend seeing a performance here

Cold, expensive & not in a great area. Who would have thought £7 pints in Leicester. Leicester part of the East Midlands which is the most holds the most impoverished & lowest paid folk in the UK. No wonder its always empty in there. Poor booking management me thinks or no-one wants to go there. Still that said, it's quick & easy to get served if you can afford it LOL & the stage sound is usually decent. Plenty of local parking available within a quick 5 minute walk.

Good venue for a gig. Good sound and lots of space for bands. However the toilets were utterly rank and the choice of beer is very limited unless you like lager. Found Atlantic on one pump in the smallest bar.

A great venue; the size was perfect for Pip Blom and the location and access helped me. Maybe just a tad too hot in there and AC would be appreciated
