The Albert Hall Reviews

A fabulous little theatre run by lovely and supportive people. I hope the community fills it up every weekend - the community deserves it, the theatre deserves it, and the acts deserve it.

Came here to see The Drifters last night having never been before. It's a nice little venue, although it could do with a little bit of a makeover, just a bit worn in some places and a lick off paint wouldn't hurt. That's being picky though! A nice building, and friendly staff, we didn't use the bar so can't comment. There are only two ladies loos in a very cramped space which wasn't ideal, but they were clean and tidy. My hubby said he felt like the gents loo was in an under stairs cupboard it was that small! The main theatre itself is a cozy, intimate venue, smaller than I expected to be honest, but lovely nonetheless. The biggest issue was ventilation, with so many people singing and dancing, it was absolutely stifling in there with no air and no air conditioning. I don't know the layout but I could see no windows or doors to the outside to let some air through. It didn't stop anybody from enjoying themselves, but it would've been so much nicer had it been cooler.! Everybody was drenched! I would most definitely go again though. Parking was easy although not on site, it was no bother at all, just a couple of minutes walk away. We had a great night and would definitely return!

Beautiful old theatre that needs supporting. The old saying applies...'If you don't use it, you'll lose it' Huge variety of entertainment here, fabulous, welcoming staff & just a magical feel about ths lovely old venue.

Not quite as royal as the other Albert hall, but still a rather nice hall, I'd rate it 9/10 on my hallometer
