Burgess Park Reviews

A lovely park with beautiful gardens, tennis courts, table tennis tables toilets, a couple of cafés, a beautiful fishing lake, a children's playground..and a new sports complex in the process of being built. Very dog friendly park.😀

It's my long time local park and I love it. The only faults I can give is not about the park itself but just London weather. In summer it's a nice park to walk or just chill in. Wish they had some sort of Café near the pond, thats one thing that would make this a perfect park in London.

Went there for a festival and got to see some of the park too while I was there, the place is nice and relaxing with lots of trees for shade, which was especially nice for the scorching weather that day. The Carnival del pueblo festival was also lots of fun, got to go with friends and family, Burguess park was a lovely venue. Buses are just a bit crowded though, and there are no nearby train stations within a 10 minute walk which make it quite hard to get to. There were many musicians playing at the festival as well. Overall great park for picnics, and a day out for any children to play at the multiple playgrounds.

Very large park in Southwark with a magnificent lake that is home to many wild birds including swans, geese, ducks, moorhens, coots, cormorants and crested grebes. Lovely wildflower areas too. A great place to spend some time.

It’s better to visit this park during spring or summer, with the trees full of flowers and the birds in the lake. Lots of people running and cycling, but enough space for others to walk around and even for some dogs running freely. There are two cafes, depending on which side of the park you visit.
