Nell's Concerts

Went here on a Thursday evening with 80 year old auntie. Long black stairs to climb. Definitely Needs some stronger lighting and a decent handrail to make safer. Would be very easy for them to do this without costing a lot. Amazing staff got us a seat with a table. Great bar staff. Very hard working. Lovely intimate venue. Remind you of an old cinema inside. Holds about 250 people. Not a lot formal seating but lots of chairs that people could help themselves to.

I went with an old friend of mine and we were possible the oldest people there. My friend is unable to stand for long periods and seats were at a premium. The staff couldn't have been more helpful they found us 2 seats next to the stage which was brilliant. The Hot House Flowers who played were absolutely fantastic and the atmosphere in the club was electric. Warmest thanks to the staff at Nells and look forward to a possible return.

Great venue, good acoustics, some decent seating areas overlooking the stage as well. Be mindful it is upstairs so if you struggle with stairs then it may be an issue. Doorstaff very amiable and friendly/helpful. BTW, the handrail set into the wall at the bottom of the stairs is dangerous, it's fixings have come loose from the wall and it's insecure.

First visit to Nells to see Tubeway Days 79 Revisited. 350 capacity venue which was sold out. Excellent first impressions from the friendly and courteous door staff Dan & Mark. The bar had a good selection of drinks on draught including Aspells cider which I had. My partner had a Malbec red wine which she said was really good. The sound was really excellent for a venue of this size loud enough and clear sound with a good mix. Slightly higher seated area and a standing area in front the stage. Tubeway Days were note perfect recreating Living Ornaments 79 in full in sequence. A great evening at a great venue which is part of and very similar to Dingwalls. We shall be back again!

The Dublin Legends at Nell's on St Patrick's night has been a fixture for many years, and God willing a fee more to come. ☘️
