Southwark Cathedral Reviews

The most incredible atmosphere and musicians, the music was unbelievable. Best date night idea ever!! Great choice of Adele songs too. We knew all of them. ❤️ already looking to book again.

Great spot to visit. You have free entry to the cathedral but you should give a donation. There is a lovely gift shop with great gifts. The cafe is also great the home-made soup was excellent. Visited on a Sunday and the choir singing was lovely.

At the time of me reaching the Southwark Cathedral I had quite the journey behind me already and my feet were dead, so it was incredibly lovely to take a breather in this wonderful Cathedral. The architecture here was superb and the stained glass windows were amongst the most stunning I had ever seen. Highly reccomend you visit here as it's also free!

Fantastic architecture and wonderful atmosphere at the Queen Tribute by Candlelight Concerts. The music could have been a bit louder for a deeper sensorial experience. Our seats were not great. Even though we were on the front row, the artists were not facing us. But it was beautiful to be there. It lasted an hour. There's something magical about this cathedral. I couldn't stop smiling. There was a little explanation of the pieces in between. Overall, it was a nice experience.

A calm, peaceful spot amongst the hubbub of London Bridge and Borough Market. Hodge the Cathedral Cat is my primary reason for visiting: he's unconcerned by loud organ music and enjoys napping all over the cathedral as well as popping out into the gardens on occasion. Quite the character! The staff are always happy to share with you the latest 'Hodge sighting' and now the gift shop stocks a small range of Hodge merchandise and cards for true devotees.
