The cause Concerts

I went here for the first time on Friday. The sound was great and the venue provides free earplugs. Reminded me of clubs in Berlin, giving the club quite a unique vibe. The setting was cool too, being beneath the DLR tracks and next to the river. The toilets though were some of the worst I’ve seen in 10 years going out in the city, I’ve seen better at festivals. I’m not sure this place is at all accessible for anyone with mobility issues. The stairs were not lit and I saw many people having issues with them.

I have been to The Cause twice now, both times to see HAAi, one of my favourite DJs. The club itself is a bit grotty, reminiscent of Berlin, but I think it adds character on the whole. The general industrial vibe and location makes it seem more “hidden” than most other places in London. The late opening times (6am) is also refreshing when many places are shutting their doors earlier nowadays. I would definitely go back to The Cause, as it has good sound and a unique atmosphere. Both times I have been, I have found space to dance pretty easily. But I guess it depends on the night as I don’t think the events I attended were sold out. They sell food too which is perfect if you need to refuel during the event. However, two words of warning: 1. The guys’ toilet cubicles are really gross, and there are only two of them. Luckily there are some urinals outside, but be warned if you need anything other than a wee. 2. The cloakroom is really inefficient. We waited a long time to put our items away, and it was even worse coming out. My friends joined the queue at 04:30 and were still in it at 05:10. Really disappointing end to the night when all you want to do is get home and rest after the rave!

Amazing space with great parties like Adonis. In summertime it opens its outdoors space with al fresco dance floor. The various indoor spaces have each a different vibe. Do not spect to see an ordinary crowd. Be ready to be amazed.

This new venue is out of this world. I can assure you as I've been raving since 1988 so I've been to thousands of venues in this time and this one at the cause is special . Thanks to Stuart and all his team even the security are so kind and helpful .Excellent, top marks to all involved , can't big you up enough guys , highly recommended, take it from me you won't be disappointed , money well spent !!!!!

Went to Adonis yesterday. 2 hour queue to get in. Queues to get everywhere. The worst was when the event ended and everyone had to wait 2 hours outside in 0 degree weather to get our coats from the cloakroom. Won't be going back as this venue is so badly organised and kept. There's other venues more central and easier to get to that actually look after their guests as human beings. Photo attached shows hundreds of guests waiting in freezing temperatures outside for their belongings which were incorrectly placed in the cloakroom, with contents of their bags missing as they picked up and chucked it around trying to find people's correct belongings in the mess.
