The Pickle Factory Reviews

I have been to the Pickle Factory for Daniel Avery and Richard Fearless’ “Goo” night a few times now. Always a nice crowd there for the music and a fun way to spend Sunday evening. Good sound, nice atmosphere and delicious margaritas on tap 🍹 The venue gets extremely warm - if they invested in air con it would be perfect. I reccomend bringing a fan, and preparing to get sweaty!

Pros: intimate club with a good sound system. You should have enough space on the dancefloor as they don’t oversell tickets. Cons: the security are a nightmare who treat you with the assumption that you’re going to cause trouble. They’re heavy handed, with a girl within our group being shouted at just for trying to pick up her perfume at the end of the night and another of our group being questioned for “going to the toilet too often”. Drinks are very expensive (£7 for a 330 mL can).

Solid techno music - nice space, u can actually find room somewhere in London to dance for once - friendly staff - £2 cloak room can be paid using card

Pointless buying tickets in advance. Ridiculous queue. Wasn’t worth waiting. They were quick to take my money on RA though. Used to be better.

We went to The Pickle Factory on Saturday night. Firstly; good soundsystem & good dancefloor. The rest leaves a lot to be desired, they cut the main DJ’s performance short (1 hour roughly) with no explanation. There was still many punters left dancing. This was very disappointing. The drinks are also very very expensive. £7 for a small can of beer? The security also were super strict when entering, and yet still walked around the (bright and small) smoking area asking people are they smoking weed instead of cigarettes. They need to have more respect for paying customers, because at this rate; they won’t have many left when people realise what it’s like. The only toilet for men was also out of service with no alternative available. Overall, a bad experience and I wouldn’t return.
