Opera House Reviews

We had a lovely time in Manchester Opera House. Prices are reasonable and the food/beverage booking system is great. There is a lot of stairs everywhere, so keep that in mind when booking. We’re looking forward to returning but would probably book seats on a lower floor for a better view.

Went to see 1974 ABBA tribute band. Shown into the venue very quickly despite a long queue. Plenty of drinks and snacks available in the foyer and also a bar area. The prices are quite expensive as are most venues. We were guided to our seats which were comfy and had a great view. I also arranged for drinks and crisps to be delivered to our seats during the break to avoid the queue, the were delivered right on time. All in all a very pleasant evening out.

What a great old venue and a hark back to a vintage period, they don't make 'em like this anymore. The staff were friendly, there was easy access to the main stage, bar and toilets. The sound system was excellent and a good time was had by all. The gig, Rock Classical was excellent.

We went to watch Madagascar, the theatre was clean and the toilet facilities were modernised and clean but the building still had the historic feel which was lovely. The staff selling refreshments coming up and down the aisles before the show adds to the experience, fantastic, and can't wait to go to again!

The show (Player King) was fine, if very long. The ambience and decor is great and the views of the stage are good. However the seats are way too cramped, & the queues at the interval for the expensive food/drinks, and the toilets, were too long.
