The National Bowl Reviews

Great to see the National Bowl back in use (Muse - June 2023). It's an awesome outdoor venue which is significantly underused. The sound was amazing, clear sight lines right to the stage if standing on the hill. The venue has a concourse around the outside with food and drink vendors, water points and toilets. Having said that, the bar and queues were awful that I didn't even bother. Queues to the bar seem to be in excess of 30 / 40 mins and the tills were constantly going down. The bars often resorted to selling cans of beer too. Not enough water points and difficult to get bottles or cups to refill, on entrance most reusable bottles were taken by security. Only 500ml sealed bottles were allowed. Toilets seemed okay but we're busy in between bands, no gender split and no urinals. Can't comment on parking, as I walked but numerous roads were closed for pedestrian management. Absolutely would go again and love seeing music at the Bowl but a few issues need to be worked on. Here's to more gigs at the Bowl!

Came here for Reggae land concert and had a great time parking close to the bowl is difficult, so getting there early is a must. The weather needs to be good here as there is no shelter if it rains!!

Went to the first gig there for 7 years to see Muse. Was an awesome atmosphere. Plenty of toilets and a tap supplying water for refilling bottles. Also, plenty of choices for food before you enter tho they didn't seem to take cash where we went

June 22, 1985---FAITH BROTHERS, SPEAR OF DESTINY, BILLY BRAGG, REM, RAMONES, U2 at Milton Keynes Bowl!!! Second best show I've ever seen, second only to Live Aid at Wembley Stadium! (That's me with the bleached Levi's and head shaved on sides) I was from a small town in Ohio, 18 yrs old and in the US Air Force stationed at RAF Bentwaters. I was very lucky and grateful for being in the right place at the right time.

Visited for the Reggae Festival. Good number of toilets and food vans. Easy to find and parking on nearby roads was convenient. Left slightly early to avoid the rush for taxis. Queuing to get in on Sunday was slow and took a long time. This meant we missed one of the acts we wanted to see. Venue was lovely.
