CADW castle - expensive if you don't have a membership Beautiful castle with stunning views. Parking is ample and cheap Steep in some places and the path is slippery when wet so care when walking through the grounds Lovely staff and very informative all around. Lots of quizzes and puzzles for kids!

Traveled two hours to get here & we wasn’t disappointed in anyway. It was a truly magical place to be, there are some steps which are not ideal for those with walking aids, but mostly a path to take you from one end to another and through the castle doors. Taken some lovely photos for our album, lovely experience for the children & will definitely return when the weather is better. I will say, that whole site was very clean. Highly recommended.

I really enjoyed this amazing masterpiece of a castle. Loved the nice walks and all the architecture inside and outside. It really is magnificent looking castle which makes you feel travelling in time and just imagining how the life used to be in old times. I will make sure whenever I go to Chepstow again I will visit this nice and calming place.

Beautiful castle built on the cliffs of the river Wye , well worth a visit , I would have liked to have seen more displays, like period costumes of that era

Lovely day out to a stunning castle. Lots of history points dotted around. Beautiful scenery from the castle
