Newcastle University Students Union Concerts 2025

Decent venue for live music. Bar has plenty of choice. It gets super hot though

Whilst there have been changes to the interior of this building, the exterior is just as I remember it over 40 years ago when I was a student here. Whilst there has been extension to the University with new buildings, the core of the this site, all the red brick buildings like the Students Union, Armstrong Building and Arches are just the same.

If you get to the front then is a good venue, the sound quality is better than the arena. I had a good night seeing the Nova twins. Its not a perfect venue, the toilets are grubby, but they haven't changed in 20 years.

I've shot a lot of bands here, the staff and security are always very helpful and the access and working environment is good, much better than some other venues. Always a pleasure to shoot local and especially here.

Been to a couple of gigs here recently - the crowds are always up for it, but the venue is a stinker. As others have said, stage is low, crowd area is uniform height and liberally dotted with pillars meaning seeing the stage is a difficult proposition. Wish NUSU would stop booking bands I want to see
