Newport Corn Exchange Concerts 2024

Quite an unpleasant experience. Whilst in store, I was subjected to female staff members making awful commets about a fellow trader who had to close her shop for the day due to illness. Very unprofessional.

The woman in the shop was so incredibly rude. Had I not been buying a toy doll for my daughter (massively overpriced and with no price displayed) I wouldn't have bothered to spend my money there because of her attitude. She was just brash and dismissive.

I had no intention of visiting the barns but the person I was travelling with wanted to pop to the farm shop which is how I found myself outside The Corn Exchange and got a hankering to go inside (the beautiful painted Bird Box outside temping me) and I am so glad I did. The products inside are lovely, and so very well priced - I've seen similar (of a lower calibre) in some garden centres at double the price. The lady working in there (whose name I never got) was lovely. Extremely friendly, helpful and professional throughout. I only wish they had an online shop because I'd never shop anywhere else for gifts - although maybe that's not such a bad thing as I'd forever be making purchases and I'm not sure my bank account could take such a hit :)

Very rude staff. Clearly they lack any sort of customer service skills as one clearly displayed when we went into the shop the other day. When asked about putting on a mask, one of our group said they were exempt and they continued through the shop, the staff member then decided to humiliate that person but pointing them out to the other staff member saying how its people like them to ruin it for everyone else. Then both staff members then started talking disgustingly about that party member in ear shot of all other customers in the shop and clearly unaware that 3 of our group were still walking around and could hear everything they said so they were confronted and they started to back track and then made a comment how they don't want our kind in there anyway and then tried to back track on that. First of all, if someone has a condition that allows them to be exempt then they have every right to do that, not to be discriminated against by people like you who feel you have some sort of right to judge other people. It's a shame they ruined this experience for some of our party as it was their first time and we had previously spoke highly of this place. I will be sure to let people know to avoid this place due to your unprofessional staff members who lack customer service skills and have terrible manners.

Lovely products in the shop but shame about the unwelcoming and rude shop assistant. 😞 Will not return.
