Sherwood Pines Reviews

Excellent bike park . 16 km red route which shows how much can be done with so little elevation. Blue route suitable for most levels, although some.may have to push up cardiac hill. Good bike jump park if you can find it. Looks like there is lots for non cyclists as well - go ape, gruffalo trail and a play park, but we didn't do any of these. Cafe was above average and very busy.

The kids had great fun looking for the Gruffalo and Co. There are plenty of places for the kids to play. The cafe was very nice. Parking was a bit expensive, and there were no concessions for blue badge holders. We stayed 2.5 hours and paid £9 for parking. Overall good and we'll visit again.

Great place for a ride, non of the trails are too taxing, even the red route is beginner friendly, there are some small downhill runs and a jump park for those wanting to get a little wilder, plenty of facilities on site, parking is high at £11 for anything over 3 hours but goes towards maintenance of the forest and facilities. Great day out, bring a bike and a picnic and you can’t really go wrong.

The perfect day out with the family or friends. We go here often on mountain bikes. Lots to do with families too, with GoApe and lots of playgrounds. Parking was £8 for the day though.

Trails to suit everyone, walking or cycling, on or off piste, loads to do if you know where to look. Very much family oriented, not so much for your super rad, gnarcore weekend warrior mtb dude. DJ’s are great and the blue bike trail is swoopy fun in places. Great cafe and friendly bike shop. Price of parking is outrageous, National Discovery pass is the way to go.
