Ropetackle Concerts 2025

A fantastic venue for music - and run by delightful volunteers - where I have heard some great names performing. The recent Gordon Giltrap/John Etheridge gig was a delight. Venues like this - non corporate and inclusive- should be cherished.

We hadn't been here before as we live in Guildford but they put on some really good folk bands. Came to see the Peatbog Faeries and what a great night. This is a brilliant venue, great sound, lovely people working there (volunteers I believe) and everything about it is excellent. We were right up the front, a mere 2 feet from the band. We will certainly be coming back, I can't believe we didn't visit years ago, it's SO good.

Good food before the show. Small venue but great sound and atmosphere. The Budapest Cafe Orchestra were fantastic. Not seen or heard of them before. They are amazing musicians

Had never visited prior to Saturday 29th April to see Kokomo. Shoreham almost as far as London from our home so we went with the Ropetackle to see 'Kokomo'. The place was welcoming and the staff (mostly volunteers) were very helpful. Had an excellent 2 course dinner for £13 each and the bars were well staffed and stocked. The band was excellent and so was the sound. Pity that the venue is so far away as there's nothing resembling it in the Bournemouth/Poole area.

"Award winning arts venue on your doorstep". Fantastic. Proper community hub for all ages. Terrific cafe serving tasty homemade food. Tea, coffee & delicious cakes. Licensed.
