Arundel Cathedral of Our Lady & St Philip Howard Concerts 2024

This is one impressive cathedral that stands high on the hill and can be seen from practically everywhere in town. With this at one end and the castle at the other both buildings really make Arundel stand out. What's also impressive is that the cathedral is only around 150 years old as it's quite mediaeval in style. Outside you have gargoyles and buttresses while inside the nave soars and beautiful stained glass windows let in wonderfully mediated light. If you're in the vicinity the cathedral is an impressive building to visit and a place of some calm. The town itself is hardly a rat-race but inside the cathedral even that low-key mania diminishes to peacefulness.

Wonderful Cathedral, full of warm, welcoming atmosphere. There is a lot to see, at the same time, there is space for quiet prayer. The Cathedral has an amazing organ. The surrounding views are magnificent with gardens and Arundel castle.

Stunning looking cathedral. We were just passing by, visiting the beautiful town of Arundel. The outside actually reminded us of one of the buildings in a Harry Potter film. Inside was equally as beautiful. We wished to go to one of the morning mass on Tuesday at 9 am. But unfortunately we were there at lunchtime. The place was empty and very peaceful. Ambient music was playing and there was a cathedral shop to buy souvenirs or further information about the building. Looking forward to returning to admire the beauty of the place again

We visited the Arundel Tulip Festival. We loved the flowers and the wonderful gardens. Well worth a visit.

Visited on Wednesday noticed that there was a mass on for Thursday so we returned. Not that well attended around a dozen people mostly ladies it was held in the Sacristy. We stayed in the area and returned on Sunday morning They have a wonderful choir who were practicing after mass on Sunday so we stayed a bit longer to listen to them The Cathedral has wonderful acoustics If in the area it's a wonderful place to visit and definitely pop in to the shop I must also mention the Web screen it's well worth spending time viewing it Great source of information
