EngineRooms Southampton Concerts 2024-2025

Went here last night for a drum and bass gig (dimension), sold out. we turned up at about an hour after opening and hardly had to que. Security gave everyone a check over and entry was simple and straight forward. It was raining but we wasn't allowed to take in our umbrellas which was annoying so we stashed them somewhere outside and managed to get them after. The cloak room was full and think they could do with that being slightly bigger. The bar staff were bang on the ball and hardly had to que for a drink and the prices where reasonable I think (£4.50 for a can of fosters). Being sold out we expected it to be jam packed but looks like this venue doesn't over sell tickets so it was actually really nice to be able to move a bit towards the back. Male toilets were fine but girls always had a big que and apparently only has 6 cubicles which isn't enough for the volume of people imo. This is a great venue and ill be looking forward to coming back sometime soon.

visited the Martin Kemp 80s night. Door staff not friendly or welcoming. Bar staff fine, but the plastic glasses are sad and would not return just on that basis. Just a big room, no real atmosphere, felt a bit dirty. Sound quality average as well. A s someone who reg visits live music venues it’s not somewhere I Personally like. The Brook in Portswood is 100% better, better atmosphere, friendly door staff, and real glasses at bar.

Saw Craig Charles there, and Soul 45 were his warm up act. They were awesome. Wicked tunes loved it

Pretty good venue. Great sound when you’re close to the stage, efficient and friendly staff. Bit spartan though, not many seats, sound is lost a bit when you’re at the back and the toilets are a bit grim (same for most venues though?)

Came here tonight for a show and the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful! The venue is accessible and the accessible toilet was so clean (more than I can say for some venues!). The atmosphere was incredible and I had a wonderful time :)
