Priory Park Reviews

Generations of my family have been going to priory park! It's one of the most important places in a Southend on sea !!! Especially for the Hurrell family..

Lovely park all year round with beautiful gardens, museum, restaurant, picnic tables, children’s playground. Lovely to meet friends, walk the dog and just enjoy the scenery. 2 min walk to the Saxon King Pub, Aldi etc.

1st time at Priory Park and definitely won't be our last. It has everything, a large green space, a playground, tennis court, table tennis tables, cafe, toilets, museum and lots more. We spent pretty much all day here. We took lunch, drinks and bats and balls. Bought some drinks and ice cream from the cafe and had a lovely outdoorsy day here. Even the little bit of rain didn't spoil our fun, esp when watching all the squirrels running around. We haven't explored the museum yet, so will definitely on our next visit. Absolutely recommend going.

Lovely open space for taking the kids. Plenty of space for everyone who were all doing different things. Frizbee, football, rounders etc... all happening all over the field. It's also dog friendly here, with lots of place to walk your dog. The gardens are well tended. Cafe is very overpriced though, payingover £3 for one ice cream, and, they only accept cash or bank transfer - a little odd considering most places accept card payment nowadays!

Truly stunning park.. FREE.. great for all ages. The gardens, grounds and old buildings are very well kept. There is parking free. Not so much so try to go on days not so busy. There is also a small cafe for drinks and food, or take your own and have a picnic. in the grounds there is a kids play area and also very nice duck ponds.
