Stoke Park, Guildford Reviews

A great and large park to visit. The Japanese garden is really nice and scenic and everything seems well maintained. Can be a bit muddy but a great spot to walk around

Such a nice place to walk as the sun goes down. Plenty of space on the grass and benches. I notice the children's pool has metal barriers around it must times I see it (I wonder why it's out of use so much.) The huge student accommodation has added a great 6-floor block of brick in one corner. But it brings live of a different kind.

Lovely open space in Guildford. Haven’t been all around it but there is a playground area, a garden section, several pitches of various kinds, and good walking/running paths around. Never had issues parking (just on the public streets nearby), but is likely busy on the weekends. There is a small paid lot off Nightingale Lane but I would avoid that as it is very tiny and always full.

Home of the Old Guildfordians. Beautiful rugby pitches in Surrey with the perfect blend between grass and mud. The bar in the clubhouse serves excellent beer. Nothing much had changed since my last visit in 1995.

Stoke Park is located around 12 minutes away from Guildford High Street by walk. It is a 52 acre open park with trees on a corner, children’s park on another side with a paddling pool and model boat pond, skate boarding rink on yet another side. The Stoke park itself is open always, the children’s park may have some time slots though. The space and openness of park provides a sense of feel good and freedom. People with dogs often bring them to the park for a walk and some play. In summer it’s also a good place to have picnics and generally absorb the sunlight.
