Swindon Arts Centre Concerts

Please review the bar prices. They are an absolute rip off and really negatively affect the audience experience. The many high quality, far cheaper, bars nearby mean that no one in their right mind will come early or remain after the show to sit in a soulless cafe.

An intimate and charming theatre in Old Town, Swindon with charm and character. The theatre presents a variety of performances from Shakespeare to Kafka, comedy acts, live music and child-friendly plays. Seats are comfortable, however, very little leg room even for short people like myself! One bar area that can become very busy during intermissions, however, staff work really hard at serving people as quickly as possible. Drinks are served in plastic glasses that can be taken into the theatre, they are then recycled which is a great initiative to save on plastic waste.

The foyer and venue on the whole is quite good, but be warned if you are tall, you are in for an uncomfortable night. I am 6'1" and had to sit with my legs spread, my knees pressed in to the chairs in front. I would recommend an end of isle seat or one at the front of tall. The decor and lighting was good, the sound was great. No issues at all with anything other than the leg room in the auditorium.

Lovely little theatre but a row of chairs need to be removed at the front. No room for legs,especially for tall people, can be a most uncomfortable evening

Brilliant night. Quick to get in you will have to queue for drinks but they movd swiftly. Carparks are close to the venue.
