Great pub selling cask and keg beer offerings in Swindon's old town. Quite a large pub with plenty of space and unobtrusive late 70s and 80s music.

There isn't a bad word that comes to mind after our last few experiences here! The Roast dinner was just perfect and one of my favourites ever outside of home!

Went along for an acoustic gig upstairs, which holds maybe 100 people. Did not eat or spend much time downstairs, however atmosphere was warm and bar staff were welcoming. Wide selection of beers but couldn't find one that was to my taste. Perhaps I need to go back and complete the job.

I've been coming here for years. The service is wonderful and the food is great. What always puts me off os the exceptionally strong smell of bleach. It really hits you when you walk in. If you sit in the snug area where the food is served, bleach cloths are rested over the counter. I'll walk into the bathroom (which are always clean) and back into the bar and get a hard bleach hit! Really need to look at the cleaning products used. (Edit, its madness that I've rated 5 in food and 5 in service yet comes as an average of 2)

A good place overall. We had a fun quiz with a couple of quirky rounds. The cheesy chips kept on coming. Warning! They don't take £50 notes and no sign telling you that before you order
