Torbay Rd, Torquay TQ2 5DG, UK
Marvellous piece of the English Riviera. Managed to sneak in a wonderful ice cream from the café at the far side.

Lovely well kept park. Nice view of the beach and the whole coast. Not too far from fish and chips shop, perfect way to spend an evening

Torquay’s Abbey Meadows can be a very lovely place to visit for a quick walk rather than going across the seafront / road side. It’s more the type of place that you could and would set up a temporary base if you wanted some summer outdoors time but wanted a view of the sea from certain parts or didn’t want to go to the beach itself. It is the main stay area for any of the many Circuses, Firework carnivals and general summer events like the Pedal car F1. The grass is always going through many different things depending on what’s happened lately, hence the 4/5 review as it can be lovely but we need the entertainment for Torbay and with that comes dead grass and a swamp like puddle area at times. There’s a small cafe at the bowls, toilets and other shops are very close. A 5 minute walk to a costa and a 15 minute walk to the town itself.

Wanted to play pitch and putt, however the parking fees (£4-5) made it too expensive!

Lovely wide grassy area to chill out, trees to shade under, let your dog and kids have a little run about
