Went to the brilliant Bay Tales crime fiction day. Excellent and well organised day. Only gripe, no food to buy at the foyer bar except muffins, croissants and crisps. Fair enough, but if you want to have a sarnie etc bought in the shops across the road, you are expected to eat it outside, not even in the foyer.

Not been to the Whitley Bay playhouse before but what a gem of a venue! Modern, comfortable, quick bar service and a great range of shows. Lost in Music was fantastic! Will definitely be back 💃🕺

We have been going to Whitley Bay Playhouse for many many years. Every year the performers never fail to impress and make us laugh. Our Christmas wouldn't be the same without seeing the guys in action and Steve..we love you! My daughter is nearly 18 and she's grown up watching Steve from being a little girly. Keep up the amazing work and see you again next year, because .."We'll have to do it again then won't we...woo !"

Here for the Meatloaf show, which was brilliant, and it was the first time I have been here. What a fantastic little theatre we'll set out and disabled friendly. Top staff that were helpful and friendly, I will definitely be coming back for other shows. Returned for another show, Get it On, and it was great, plus it is still setting high standards.

We went for a spring sing, as we entered we were told we had to leave a bag of groceries at the door as food was not allowed inside. We then proceeded to find a seat and we were then told to move by a very unpolite usher as the seats were for the children. My mam is disabled so for her to climb the steps was a big deal. Anyways we found a couple of seats, then this lady made someone we know who is very unstable on her feet climb up to the seats near us. The usher then started to let people sit where we had been seated....I confronted her and was told now that the seats were for disabled people and not children. I said my mam is disabled and the lady behind us was, to which she pointed towards the top and said there's a lift. As I was there to see my son perform I decided not to take it any further, I told her she was very unprofessional and the whole thing was not organised well. To which she shrugged. As the children were performing she took it upon herself to shine her torch in people's face if they dared take a photo. I will not be coming back to the whitley bay playhouse because of this woman. I have added a picture of her. She was very rude and unprofessional. I would like to hear the playhouses thoughts on this but it will probably be ignored.
