We love this local library with the little nooks for kids to read in. I’m marking low as we stopped for a coffee and the barista has long hair draped over their shoulder and was constantly touching it whilst working the tills and touching the teabag of the person in front of us. Aforementioned hair also hung over another drink they were making almost touching the marshmallows in it. My delicious coffee drink was made by someone else (short hair tied back!) thankfully but please consider tying hair back policy for everyone to improve hygiene levels. Will come back for sure based on lovely coffee.

A modern style library not far from the main high street. If you want silence in the main area, you definitely won't have it. They might have quiet rooms, but I didn't look/ want one. I popped in for a coffee and to use the Internet. Good speed for a public area. Coffee was decent in the cafe area. Food looked pleasant (toasties, jacket potatoes, salads, cakes- limited GF options), but I didn't eat here. Very reasonable prices to be fair. Have a coffee, study your choice of subjects, grab a newspaper/ book or watch the world go by through the windows, or visit the art gallery, it's worth a pop in.... I will be back.

Visited the Georgia O’Keefe exhibition recently which was in fact really good. My enjoyment was however spoiled by a pathetic incident that I’m sure wouldn’t have been endorsed by the management. We both bought tickets but I had to pop out during the exhibition to collect my son from the cathedral leaving my elderly mother inside. I came back with my son informing the attendant that I had to go back in with my son for 30 seconds to collect my mum. She told me my 10 year old son couldn’t go in with me without a ticket. Obviously this was ridiculous so I had to go in leaving him on his own. On the way out I told her this was disappointing and she just brushed it off saying ok with no apology. I think anyone would agree that was not “ok”. Will not be visiting again.
