This was my favorite bar and place to see shows even compared to small venues in San Francisco and Oakland. They get some great bands, good drinks and good prices. One could go to a $15 show, hang out at the bar and watch or wander onto the dance floor, out front ,or out back and play pinball. They also had art work by Mike Giant on the walls. However, they recently installed a wall cutting off the stage from the rest of the bar. Giant's art is gone. Granted, now you don't have to pay for a show to go to the bar but you can't watch the show anymore from the bar. I fear it ruined the venue. What about dance nights? You have to walk through a small door and can't watch your friends while you get them drinks. The whole feel of the venue has changed

My husband and I have always love loved this place . Atmosphere is great. Great events .The employees even though there is somewhat a new a crew/people almost every time were still very nice and always gave us recommendations RE food/drinks . We also love the new menu so please don’t change it ! Also looks like they are remodeling somethings? Very exciting:)

World class pinball at this hip and happening bar. Great selection of machines that were all in excellent condition. Friendly staff and affordable prices for beer and cocktails. This was easily one of the highlights of my trip to Albuquerque. Would love to catch a show here sometime. Highest recommendation!!!

After the mass quitting of your best employees it’s become a mess. This was one of my favorite places in the city to see a nice loud rock show. However with the installation of the HORRIBLE WALL IT HAS BECOME A CLAUSTROPHOBIC NIGHTMARE!!!! It’s not even slightly enjoyable to see a show now OR WAIT FOR A SHOW TO START!!!! They took out more than half the seating for this trashy wall. All for what? Because the owner got greedy and wants more money? It’s pathetic really. I’d rather suffer at Bar Uno now, at least there I won’t be charged $20 for a horribly made lemon drop like I am now charged at this waste of space. And the last thing I will say is, you don’t have people mass quitting their jobs because they love their bosses!! Go anywhere else Downtown it’ll actually be worth it this is now a sad, pathetic shell of a place it used to be. RIP Sister Bar.

So, this bar was awesome. It was the place to be in Albuquerque for any fairly underground music. It was friendly and communal. But, they built a wall between the stage and the bar, so now there is no other way to describe the place other than god awful. Do not go here. Do not support them while they keep the wall up. Bring down the wall! Bring down the wall!
