The Historic El Rey Theater Reviews

I love the EL Rey Theater, you can definitely feel the history of the place while you are there. They host a variety of shows and events here and the venue can hold quite a bit of people. The staff here are excellent and some of the best security I've seen as well. Also another thing is they have a balcony area with a 2nd bar . There's also plenty of parking near the EL Rey. With all this being said, I highly recommend you check this place out if you haven't been yet💯

Great location for a company event or small concert. Staff and security were all kind and helpful. Restrooms could definitely use some work and cleaning.

I don't mind going to this venue as I've been here a few times but the ventilation here is HORRENDOUS. Went to a show on 10/11 and we're all standing around hoping to God they turned on the fans--I can't imagine how it is in there in the summer. I haven't gotten a cold since 2019 but I got one after this show 48 hours later. You'd think the pandemic would have inspired them to fix the ongoing air/ventilation issue considering how much business they get, but nope. Stuffy and stagnant air, and hard to see the stage if anyone tall is in front of you. The restrooms were ok as far as I remember and I have never bought anything to drink here. Staff seems okay but this place needs some renovation for sure. If you're gonna call yourself "Historic" like the Kimo, put some money into the ventilation and look of the place because it has the ambiance of a high school gym. Not sure whose in charge of the ticket prices but $70+ every time I come here with these crowds and no air seems a little steep. Sound was okay for Claypool.

Safe to say I am never coming back here again. They oversell every show, and made it so the bar area outside blocks you from getting to the bathrooms any way other than the dance floor. And if you want water you have to go to the opposite side of the dance floor. I'm not gonna navigate through an incredibly packed audience just to go to the bathroom. Make sure your shoes are at Revel Entertainment people this place is not worth it

Attended a concert last night. The staff was excellent. Especially the security they are on top of their game. If there were any issues that arose, they were on the spot taking care of the problem. Would definitely go to concerts in the future at the El Rey Theater
