Viejas Casino & Resort Concerts

Just went to play the slots a bit and to enjoy a drink or two. We sat at the bar counter and played the slots while having a drink. Convenient!! We didn't order any food, but I could see others eating some tasty looking things. It was fun. Not rushed. Looking forward to going back.

I would highly recommend this casino over any other casino in San Diego. It is huge, super clean, fun, good food and you win! It is also beautiful and the customer service here is awesome! They always have some kind of entertainment that everyone can enjoy. You can actually hear the fun, people having just a great time. Try it out, you won't be disappointed.

Enjoyable time. Great game selection. Attentive staff. The only thing I found odd was there strange craps rules where you roll dice and they have cards that dictate and change the outcome of the roll... I understand in California you can't have dice games but it was extremely hard to win anything..

My wife and I love Viejas. We have been staying at your hotel, both regular and the willow for years. We just spent the night at the willow on 3-24 to 3-25. I guess we spent over 2500.00 this time. I would venture to say we have spent over 30,000 over time at your resort. The grove steakhouse is also one of our favorite restaurants in San Diego and we love it. Last night we had a different experience. We ordered oysters. As a former professional chef, I know that oysters kill more people than all foods combined and need to be treated carefully. the oysters that we were served were "scary" shriveled up in the shell, obviously dead and should have been thrown away. Any professional chef would have never served them. It was insulting. The rest of the food was great the lamb was cooked perfectly and my wife's lobster tail was ok. When the check came we discovered that the frozen lobster tail was 150.00. The wholesale price for a frozen lobster tail at most is 20.00. As a Chef when you mark up prices for food items you multiply by 3. Food cost, labor and over head. That lobster tail should have been prices at 60.00. I can even go as far as 75.00 to be fair. When we saw the bill we were shocked that it was 150.00. I asked the the manager Raphael, he was pleasant and tried to help us. Our server swore that she told us the price 2 times. Her name is Toni. She is a liar. My wife and I spend thousands of dollars dining out and we know our stuff. At some point the "manager" Rosemary got involved and told us she was going to call security if we pressed the issue further. I am absolutely mortified that after the money I have spent at you casino that my wife and I would be treated this way. I have not posted this online yet and I would prefer not to. Do not come here. They are going through some major construction … and for some reason have them working early in the morning. You will get woken up! It is so loud! They should have advertised this on their website. I would NOT have booked a room had I known the construction would begin at sunrise. So inconsiderate. Not a smart business move. Will never stay here again.
