We went to see Charlie Berens in April, 2024. The show was great, but it was extremely hot up in the top section. Definitely avoid the top few tiers if you are heat sensitive or need frequent restroom breaks. You are also affected by the spotlight in the top tier.

Comedy show started at 8pm and we were still waiting to get in to the building. There were lines at every door which were barely moving. We didn’t get to our seats until 8:22pm. We missed the opening act with exception of the last 2 minutes. I go to a lot of events and have never experienced such incompetence in getting people inside a building. There was no apology, explanation nor partial refund offered. I will never go to another event at Stephen’s Auditorium. This was my first and last time there. The picture was at 7:45pm if that tells you how slow the line was moving.

Attended our first concert at Stephens Auditorium on May 25th, and we came away with awarding this fine facility "5-stars" all around. The concert was by one of our favorite bands (Chicago), and we opted for seats in Lodge 10. Trust me ... look up the seating chart online, and you'll see these are "Lodge" seats as close to the performance as possible. The acoustics are tremendous, and we both felt that the sound system handled the music very well. Ample restroom and refreshment facilities, and more than ample parking You can not go wrong in attending an event in this jewel of a facility on the Iowa State University Campus.

The venue atmosphere is both 5 stars and 1 stars at the same time! Once you are walking into the theater and sitting down enjoying the show, it's 5 stars for sure...the sound booms and I don't believe that there is a bad seat in the house. The staff is friendly and very relaxed and helpful. The parking situation could definitely be impoved and the entrance situation is confusing if you have not been here before. But the 1 star has to be the random concession and restroom situation. The women's restroom situation is so bad, they should be forced to rent extra restrooms for concerts. Bathroom access requires patrons to walk all the way up and then back down stairs to find them. If you are young, not a big deal, but I cannot imagine being either elderly or have any mobility issues...it would be a nightmare! I must guess that some people have anxiety about needing to use the restroom. What a shame...

I took my sister Linda to see Mannheim Steamrollers she has been wanting to see them for a long time we both enjoyed it. The Stephen Auditorium was so easy to find.
