Azura Amphitheater Reviews

Cool outdoor concert Venue Just West of Kansas City, $20 was the cost to park. Venue itself was pretty nice and the bands sounded good.

Our Lord and savior could make his triumphant return to this amphitheater and I would not show up. We had a TERRIBLE experience. There was a storm on the night of the show that we went to see and they told us it would be a 30-minute rain delay which wound up being well over an hour. They told us to watch their social media pages and they would update us but no one could get an update because of the terrible cell service that's in this area. Once they finally let us in there is only one merchandise stand. The line to get anything was an hour or nine songs to be exact. The line stayed that long the entirety of the show. If you spent a lot of money to get good seats then you missed over half the show just trying to get through their nightmare ticket checking process just so that you could even get to your seat. No matter what time the show starts it ends at 11:00 so because of unforeseen circumstances we got ripped off most of the show and then what they did play we didn't get to see because we stood in the atrocious line just to get merchandise. No fault to the band here I believe this was mismanaged 100% by the venue and I reiterate I would never go to another show here again even if it was our Lord and savior. Do with this information what you choose this is my honest opinion and observation of how they run shows there and I would never waste your money and risk it.

Such a great venue. It's not overly large, and they did a great job balancing the size with the number of bathrooms and stands for beverages, etc. I really enjoyed my experience here. Even getting out of the parking lot went pretty well. I'm not sure what hardware belongs to the venue or the artists, bit e audio was really good too. The general layout of the place seemed to keep the music sounding good, even loud and heavy.

Lots to say here. I've been to several concerts there over the years, never a complaint. Now, granted, there was severe weather this night, but also failures on the part of the venue. We arrived 30 minutes prior to the gates opening, parked in the VIP lot & could see several people in line at the gate. Since a storm cell was approaching we decided to stay in the car until it passed. The storm was pretty bad so most of the people in the queue ran back to their cars. About an hour after the normal starting time the gates opened. By now the line to get in was snaking through the parking lot well past our car. We got to the back of the line & could hear the concert start. About twenty minutes into the concert we finally made it to the security check point then the gate to have out tickets scanned. Our tickets were center stage, row Q. There was now another line of a few hundred people were trying to get into the lower level where our seats were. While in line I purchased us 2 beers, in cans for $15 plus tax per beer. When we finally got to the end of the line there were two employees saying we had to either trash our beers or get a cup to pour them into, I found a stack of cups on a table & we complied. Now one employee, yes only one, had a scanner to scan us into the seating area. The seats which were among the most expensive were like little lawn chairs not secured to the ground, misaligned and labeled only with a tiny red piece of paper taped to the end chair & one piece of red paper the size of a postage stamp on seat number 10. Lots of people were confused as to where their seats really were. By the time we found our seats, act 3 was beginning. After the concert we were funneled to a side road that took us on an unfamiliar route that took us about 15 minutes to find any recognizable street. I get it, there was a storm but also really poor decisions made by management.

Attended the Sessanta Tour on April 30th. Delayed by rain storms, and a nearby tornado(!), communication from the venue was terrible. Stood in line to get in for almost an hour once the rain slowed down. The concert started while hundreds of people were still standing in line outside the venue. Once inside, there was nobody to direct you to your seats or even where to start to get to them. They did, however, have yet another security check inside the venue before you could get to the seating area - even though you already got checked outside. And finally, the concert was shut down promptly at 11:00 PM even though less than half of the set list had been played compared to the rest of the tour. It started almost two hours late, numerous fans got stuck outside for the first several songs, then it was cut off at 11:00. They should have postponed it to another date or just canceled it altogether. Spent a lot of money for a poorly managed venue and drastically shortened show. Won't be back.
