Seaside Park Reviews

Very huge park. Excellent for hanging out, relaxation and walk. Beautiful views.

You have to pay $60 to visit this park, which I find it very expensive for CT visitors. I visited on September 3rd, a day before Labor Day, and the park was full. You can have a picnic, beach and lighthouse. This park is much better to visit in the fall when it is not crowded and free to visit. Sunset in this park is so beautiful, especially from the jetty leading to the lighthouse. Rock hoping on the jetty is fun going to the lighthouse. At a few locations on the jetty, it is tough to pass through, but it is fun.

The park itself is nice. A nice walk along the water, sculptures are interesting. The biggest issue I had was the permit only parking everywhere, but nowhere to purchase! I managed to find some non permit parking nearby. When I looked up the permits, they are CRAZY expensive! $50 for one day of out of state parking??!! It was a nice visit to see the PT Barnum statue.

I walk at Seaside Park frequently. Stunning views of the Sound. Sidewalks for a couple of miles as well as bike lanes. Benches all along the sidewalks as well as picnic tables in the grassy areas. You need a pass to park in the park area from Memorial day to Labor day which I think is worth purchasing but if you are willing to walk a little further you can park outside the park and walk in. If you prefer early morning walks the gates don’t open until 8 am but again you can park outside the park itself and walk in.

Excellent place, a long beach, tables with a wide view of the ocean, playgrounds etc. Unfortunately there are people "competing" with each other who could "broadcast" the loudest music. That ruins the tranquility of the place...
