Perfect underground performance. Great vibe. In the age where a lot of older well know rock clubs like CBGBs and Lamours have gone, it's great to have a place like Kingsland where local bands can perform and build a following. Definitely don't forget about the brick oven pizza that's cooked to order. Delicious cheese goodness

Place is a dive but that is what it should be. A clean dive offering slices and drinks. Went for Alex Story and Doyle and the live music area is the size of my garage so nice and personal. Not a great space for sound or view but a cool little joint to check out.

This is a great music venue. I really like how they let you get some air outside between bands. I am really writing this review to commend the security on how excellent they are at keeping the place safe. We attended the Evergreen Terrace show and as any hardcore show attendee knows there’s always those people in the pit that want to start fights or hurt people that aren’t actually in the pit. Each of these people were removed quickly from the venue and the place remained a great and safe atmosphere. Give this security staff a raise. They know what they are doing!

The way you all treated Insignificant Other was absolutely disgusting. Withholding payment and cussing and yelling at them is abhorrent and you should be ashamed. Waste of space in Brooklyn that could be used for something better.

This came was a shock as many touring nationals come through here. ( The venue was way smaller than some pictures of the place let on. (Any picture that's shows a large, robust place isn't this room). Stage is about 9'x16' and a foot high so if you're in the back and short, you're not seeing a thing. Sound system / engineer made all the bands sound listenable, which either helped (Looking at you, Vicious Rumors, 25th Mission) or exposed some big flaws--not going to put the other bands on blast here. Kingsland comes off as if you're performing on someone's basement--and in fact, my former drummer's is roomier. The people working there were friendly and cool. Didn't see the other problems people talk about. Also there was no food available-even though it's advertised and branded with word "grill" in it's name. (However Nonna's pizza up the block was excellent find) Kingsland would probably work better as a NY underground venue for local bands to build up their followings on their way to St. Vitus. It should not be a venue where band need to sell tickets to open for groups 30 years pay their expiration date. How this venue gets these type of bands and places like Blackthorne or Lucky 13 doesn't is beyond me. One week later, I'm still shaking my head in disbelief.
