Stark County Fairgrounds Reviews

They over scheduled too many events and they conflicted. Parking was too far away, music for one was totally inappropriate and intrusive for the other, and people wandered through. At least one building was not provided that was expected. The facility itself is an interesting historic fairground, with a lot of older buildings that are interesting. The sign said this would be the 170somthigth year of the fair.

Pros: Lots of fun stuff to do from petting ponies and cows to watching lots of farm animals like turkeys, bunnies, chicken, cows, etc. Plus plenty of food options and games. Cons: My night was just ruined a little bit since there was multiple fights (not the fairs fault, but the people that desided to fight and endanger families) and a shooting but security was very attentive and went right away and long lines for rides. Note: Almost everything is cash, make sure to take some cash on hand.

I am disabled and I have a service dog I see people alot come with dogs claiming as a service dog and definitely needs more obedience training to behave like a service dog should why are they let in but legit handlers have to fights for there rights? But what I don't enjoy and ruins the fun of the fair when the entry ticket booth workers are not educated on service dogs and the state and federal laws for service dogs and every year it's the same thing asking for certification and ID and the law clearly states there is no certification and ID for service dogs in the USA and buying certification and IDs online are scams that are not recognized by the laws and holds no weight in a court of law Only legal questions they can ask is is the dog a service dog for a disability? What work or tasks is the dog trained to perform? ( Emotional support, comfort, companionship are not service dog tasks and emotional support animals are not permitted where regular pets are not allowed) Every year at the admissions booth I always have to ask for a police officer or a sheriff to come to the booth to tell the booth workers the law before I'm able to pay admission and enter with my service dog Please educate your booth workers if they are going to be working with the public especially disabled people what I go through yearly is not only upsetting but it is harrassment towards a disabled person who needs there dog for medical purposes

We were shocked when we walked into our county fair today! A lot of things were moved around to consolidate unused spaces and some cafeteria style eating places were closed. The biggest shock was the space under the grandstand where many political booths and sheriff were. It became a gratuitous Leaman's Hardware space and nothing really more. That was hugely disappointing. Only one or two politicians were in the main pole building. And even that building, not a lot of booths and vendors. There was a display of servicemen in the back of that building that was touching to see. We did get our milkshakes from the USDA shed and they were good! But that was moved, too! Had to look around for it in the first turn to the right between buildings. Plenty of food vendors and rides. Saw the tractor pulls and animals. But it has been pared down some.
