The Midnight Gem Concerts 2024

I recently designed a styled shoot at the Midnight Gem and Alex & Jordan did not disappoint! Their venue is STUNNING and goes beautifully with any color palette! There were so many awesome photo op areas within the venue that made the photographers job super easy! I recommend that any engaged couple check out the Midnight Gem- You're gonna love it!

The musicians, atmosphere and staff were world class. We were blown away by the lead violinist, he was superb. Small venue to keep a romantic and intimate experience and the accoustics brought it all home for a memorable experience!

The Midnight Gem is the perfect venue! From booking, to the day of our wedding the staff was so great to work with and very responsive. We loved that there was a place for both the bride and groom to get ready, and overall just a beautiful place!

My husband and I had a ~250 person wedding reception at The Midnight Gem on 11/10/2023. We booked the venue while it was still under construction and are so happy we did! The venue is so beautiful and so wonderfully operated. We would choose The Midnight Gem over and over again without a second thought. The staff at The Midnight Gem were easy to work with throughout the entire planning process, no matter if it was a simple e-mail question here or there or at the 2 planning meetings. A few things had changed from our original conversations to the time of our wedding and the staff honored the items that had been previously discussed, which highlights the good business ran by this venue. They truly want to help you have the best (and as stress-free) day as possible The bride and groom's suites are gorgeous and spacious. The putting green outside (which initially I thought we wouldn't use) ended up being a hit with keeping kids entertained during the reception. Our wedding was located off-site, and the location of The Midnight Gem is great for anyone getting married in the Iowa City or Cedar Rapids area. Having the exclusive partnership with the Avid Hotel just down the road make transportation to the venue/back to the hotel a non-issue. We felt rental price was very fair in comparison to other venues in the area and appreciated the option to pre-purchase alcohol to help stay within budget.

Venue is gorgeous. Groomsman side has a lot of things to do, women get mirrors and chairs. It would of been nice to maybe have a TV in the bridesmaid room as well - while the rest of us waited for everyone to be done getting ready.
