Chicago Shakespeare Theater Reviews

My friends and I really enjoyed Judgement Day with Jason Alexander was a very funny show. There was language and religious commentary that some may not appreciate, but we enjoyed it and think most folks would have a great time at the show. There is a story and the characters evolve and grow, and there are lots of laughs on the way.

Came to see Judgement Day. Was not expecting to laugh out loud and hear such profanity and vulgarity at the Shakespeare Theater but I loved it! The show is witty and entertaining with a very talented cast. All the seats have a good view and the employees are friendly and helpful in whatever you may need. I'm looking forward to my next visit already! Step outside during the intermission to take in the gorgeous views of the skyline.

Nice place to visit to see a show that adds discounted parking when you book through their site. Great views of the stage from all seats but for the best comfort try to avoid the seats that don't directly face the stage. Highly recommend you use the websites seating chart. You will understand what I mean from the photo in this review.

Richard III was an outstanding show. I loved the Globe Theater motif in the house, although I gather it isn't always a thrust stage. And the tickets were very reasonably priced. I am definitely keeping this theatre on my radar!

As a person who is hearing challenged, I literally had to sit through "the comedy of errors" with no clue of the dialogs and the various laughs. My wife had bought tickets for all of us for a good evening together as a family for Eid and we headed out to the theater. The parking lot in the navy pier is dedicated to patrons of the theater and is easily found by way of various pointers and directions. The staff at the theater were nice and friendly. I might have forgotten to inquire about any kind of help for my disability. A loop device or even a headset, if not a closed captioning capability, would have made my experience a more pleasant one.
