Live Wire Lounge Concerts 2024

The bartender was so friendly and a great time. They play 80s horror and sci movies on the tvs above the bar before the live performances. Definitely recommend the Buddington beer. It's the smoothest beer I've ever had.

What a phenomenal Fat Tuesday. Love Live Wire and their Bar Tenders, music, ambiance.... And, John Bauman helps make the place Xtra special. His Jumbaliya was amazing and his presence adds to the joy of the place.

Tiny but fun, surprisingly good sound and stage setup for a little bar, have seen a lot of fantastic shows here over the years. Parking is a bit of a pain. Obviously. I don’t think I’ve ever tried any food, so can’t vouch for that. Drink prices are pretty typical and service is friendly.

A bit smaller, cramped, and more personal but a generally exciting atmosphere, especially if you like punk, rock, and heavier music. The bartender was knowledgeable and friendly and was surprisingly attentive considering the amount of people there. Never had to wait long for drinks. The drink variety was above average but there was a lot of good options. The prices were pretty cheap for Chicago as well. Great live music and a fun time overall. If you like smaller bars this a great place to hang out with friends.

Saw my friends band Tragic Times play here a few weeks ago. Good selection of drinks, lively atmosphere, lots of cool metal and punk memorabilia on the walls.
