Ellie Caulkins Opera House at Denver Performing Arts Complex Concerts 2024-2025

A nice, modern venue. Smaller than most opera houses I’ve been to. The acoustics could be better. The production and set of the opera was well executed. One thing they could do better is to make the subtitles also available in the original language. Although I speak French, it is difficult to follow the libretto sung. They had subtitles in English and Spanish, but neglected to simply load up the libretto in French.

Great venue, we saw The Nutcracker ballet here, it was terrific. You can use the Performing Arts parking garage next door, it is connected by an atrium to the venue (see pictures). Get there early to avoid crowds.

Very beautiful interior design and seating. I've been here quite a few times and love it. The last play was just last week, Jekyll and Hyde. Wonderful performance and actors.

Go see the Nutcracker!! Incredible! From costumes and sets to choreography, performances and show composition it was truly a spectacular show. Take a date, get the good seats, dress up, have a glass a wine and enjoy one of the best shows of the year. 10/10 would recommend. Even if you “don’t like ballet” make this a priority for the holidays.

While Denver is still a relatively small city in the middle of the country, the performing arts are definitely a bright spot. Season tickets are a must in order to get excellent seats. This opera house is largely able to put on spectacular performances due to generous donations.
