Crown Theatre Reviews

This is the 2nd event I've seen here at the Crown Theater. It's a very clean theater but needs major updating. I've read past reviews and all have pretty much echoed what I've mentioned.

Definitely like stepping back in time. Small, but makes for an intimate performance feel. Seats themselves vary and can be a little low to the ground.

Problem with parking and lighting. I had to take the time to do this review because my disappointment in my experience was immense. Ticketmaster encouraged everybody to arrive at the venue early. I got there at 6 PM. I drove 1 hour to get there. And my GPS took me to the front of the complex period when I got to the parking lot. The entrances to the parking lot were chained off and there was one sign with a directional arrow pointing to the left to suggest that I go to the left for event parking. I did that drove around and wound up in a dead end with no place else to go. A woman there gave me directions through the parking lot of another business to get to the parking lot. When I got to the venue, there were parking attendance present, but no one gave me directions about where the park. This is a safety issue. Your lighting engineer should be fired. I have witnessed better lighting at a recent community theater production. The lighting on the performer and the lighting on the projected image was horrible. Anyone who knows Leanne Morgan knows that her comedy is rooted in her facial expressions, none of which were visible to me in what is essentially a small auditorium. I should have been able to see her facial expressions on the projected image, at least, anywhere I was, but the lighting was awful and, in my opinion, took away significantly from this performer. I know that the people who operate the venue have no control over how bad the opening performer was. But he was lackluster, low energy, and not worth the time it took for him to go on the stage. I will not be returning to this venue and I would advise anyone else who travels who wants to see Leanne Morgan not go to this venue to see such a wonderful performer. I waited four years to see her and I was hurt that my experience was so far below expectations.

Great place for a concert. I will say the bathroom situation leaves a lot to be desired. Those poor ladies were lined up for a while just waiting their turn. More restrooms is definitely needs for he women especially. But... Great atmosphere and snack bar was good too.

Our experience was great except for the man in front of us. That insisted being on his phone the entire time we were there. As bright as the screen could go. It was nothing but a distraction while we were trying to enjoy the concert.
