Beautiful area. Great camping and walking trails. I get irritated by the extra $10 feet per day and no veterans discounts for out of staters. Other than being quite expensive, a great park.

Great spot! What a great find. Clean, lots of tables available, shaded areas by large trees, wildlife friendly trash receptacles. Clean bathrooms. Spectacular views of the river and mountains. Great place for 2 or for an entire family.

We stayed at the Island Acres section campground. We love it! Our campsite was spacious with a private shelter and had full RV hookups. The setting is in a canyon right along the Colorado River. Even with the highway nearby and train tracks on the other side of the river, it was still peaceful.

Enjoyed our 3 night stay here tent camping next to our family’s RV. Road noise from highway woke us up a couple times when someone came ripping through on their sport bike. Beautiful location with huge canyon walls all around, and you cannot see the highway. There are multiple stocked fishing ponds, and one swimming/ kayaking pond. I was hoping to paddle board on the Colorado river, but it was flowing far too fast to put in.

We stayed 3 nights (too short) at this lovely state park. We had a pull-through, full hook-up site with a level concrete pad and picnic table with ramada and firepit in a well-maintained gravel area. There are also laundry facilities available in the park. We had views of the lake and the Monument. No wi-fi, but cell service was great. Close to town and all amenities. Would definitely return! Plenty of room for our 36' fifth wheel.
