Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course Concerts

My husband and I were going out for date night. There was a live band that was playing there, I do have to say that the music venues they put up there are really great. The facility isn't bad either it's an older one, wear and tear is to be expected always nice and clean. Especially the bathrooms. The employees there walking around are really nice. Smiles on everyone's face didn't hear anyone complaining about their job which was wonderful. So we went out for a date night, husband said he wanted a steak. He remembered that there is a steakhouse in the casino. One stop shop great music and food. We went to the steakhouse "Final Cut" understanding that it can be a little pricey. That's perfectly okay with us I'm happy to pay good money for good service and good food. We spent over $200 + tip. The drinks were mediocre, I am a cocktail drinker. My husband doesn't prefer drinks but I do enjoy my mix. The cost of them and the taste of them, I'm not sure that it reflected quite right, especially for the amount that you got in your martini glass. My husband ordered the prime rib at $57, I got their halibut which was around $40. My fish was on couscous which I have to say was cooked perfectly. I was really surprised that it was not mushy. The fish on the other hand, was so dry. I absolutely love halibut and that I have to say was the most disappointing I've had. We had Korean burnt pork ends for appetizers not bad well worth $14. I have to say that was the best part including the brussel sprouts. Those were the only two things that I wish we had ordered. I was sorely disappointed that we spent that much on a meal that I feel was lacking. We left there and I felt I had just wasted my money, I didn't say anything to my husband because I didn't want him thinking I didn't appreciate it. My husband has never complained about the places we've ate. Also the first time he asked me about writing my reviews. This one bothered him enough that in the middle of the night he turned to me and said I don't mind spending the money but I'm bothered by the fact of I don't feel it was worth what we paid. I think that sums it up. Definitely will head there for the music not sure about eating dinner again.

Visited for the first time yesterday. I had a good time. The steakhouse was really nice. Had a few apps and some great cocktails. Played some tables and that was great. All the dealers were super friendly. I would have loved some more IPA selections as the main bar ran out of perpetual. My one gripe would be that when I visit casinos, usually when you’re playing you get free drinks but the drinks on the cart were not worth the bother and I’d just stop playing to get a drink at the bar.

Not familiar with the casino and didn't even care to go inside, especially since the buffet isn't there anymore and I'm not a gambler anyways. I came for the Keith Sweat concert and it was Nice. The homie Sweat did his thing and gave us a great show. The rain didn't come, me and my lady enjoyed ourselves....as well as everyone else. The energy was NICE!

Don’t have much luck here and I hate that you got to pay for your drinks but I keep returning anyhow
